Hopeeeefully, you’re not reading this on your honeymoon but I just wanted to touch base real quick to let you both know what you can expect from here on out!
After a magical day filled with family, friends, food, and dancing, it’s perfectly acceptable to be completely exhausted the day after your wedding. You’ve endured hundreds of hours planning, multiple phone calls crying to your bridesmaids, sleepless nights, bridal showers, and a whole mess of emotions.
This is definitely the most obvious, but so important! Most newlyweds have spent the last week or so in a constant “go go go!” mode, So it's easy to forget to unwind and enjoy your first day as a married couple! Sleep in, eat breakfast in bed, and take time to reflect on how amazing your wedding night was!
They say patience is a virtue—but it's just so darn hard to be patient when you're waiting for something as exciting as wedding photos/video. But the good news is, The reason it takes time to get your photos back is that we are busy uploading all the cards for your wedding day, then backing up your wedding day once all your photos are off the cards, sneak peek, culling of the images, then finally the editing starts..... order products etc. So as you can see it is a process which we don't like to rush.
To avoid going crazy with anticipation, here's everything you need to know to manage your expectations when it comes to receiving your wedding photos.
Your PHOTO Sneak Peek
In the 48 hours following your wedding, we will edit photos post your sneak peek on facebook and instagram, So that you can share them with all your family and friends.
What's the Typical Turnaround Time?
Our turnaround time for your full gallery is usually 6-8 weeks (sometimes less/or more depending on the season I photograph your story) All our editing is done in house, we don't outsource. You will receive your online gallery at this time to view, download and select what images for the products for got in your package. Please allow 2/3 weeks for us to get your product orders placed and back from our suppliers. Once we have everyone together for your package, we will be on contact to arrange to a pick up day/time from our studio.
Video side of your package
Sneak peak (Social Media Film) can be expected within 3 weeks after your wedding, we will share with you and on our socials.
Turn around is 8-10 weeks also (sometimes less/or more depending on the season we photograph your story) Your Extended Highlight Film and everything else will be in your Dropbox folder which will get emailed to you once all videos have been finished for you to download and save your end.
So as you can see all these steps take time, We aren't trying to torture you—promise! We want you to have the best finished product possible.
And remember, yours likely isn't the only amazing wedding we are working hard on to turn around, especially if your "I dos" are in peak wedding season. From beginning to end, each wedding takes us about 30+ working hours to get through on the back end, Multiply that by the number of weddings per year, and you've got a ton of work on your hands but we love it and wouldn't have it any other way.
