I’m Rach, the owner, lead photographer, and editor behind Atomicbutterfly Photography.
I’m passionate about capturing raw emotions, genuine connections, laughter, love, and all the beautiful moments in between. Documenting these special memories is so rewarding, and I’m incredibly lucky to do what I love every single day.
I’m the photographer who will take a million shots and deliver beyond your expectations. I’ll cheer you on and shout from behind the camera about how stunning you all look—every single time. I’m the one who’ll get hands-on with posing and crack jokes to help you feel comfortable, even if you’re not used to a stranger touching you (don’t worry, we’ll become pals soon enough!).
I’m also the photographer who’ll eagerly wait for your message saying you love your photos right after I send them. (Honestly, if I don’t hear from you right away, I get a little anxious—haha!)

How do you photograph weddings?
We are really chill! We like to be in the background, capturing moments as they happen. But if you need a little bit of direction, or help with timing - we are there for you and can totally make it happen. Our goal is for you to have as much fun as possible on your wedding day, while getting the very best photos we can. Most of the time, you won't even notice we're there.
Where are you based and do you travel?
Our studio is in West Burleigh, on the sunny Gold Coast. But we love to travel, so definitely send us an enquiry with your wedding destination details! If it's outside of our area (Brisbane to Byron Bay), then a travel fee may apply.

How far in advance do we need to book?
We have a small team, but we also book out fast. Getting in contact with us as early as possible is the best way to guarantee we'll be available for your chosen date.
Do you offer Video as well?
Absolutely! We think video is a really important part of the wedding process. Imagine in 10 years time being able to go back and relive those moments you've forgotten. The sounds, the tiny movements, the details - a wedding film is as important as beautiful photos.
Can we meet before our big day?
We have 1 day a month were we hold meetings in our studio, so keep an eye out on our socials for these dates. If you’re a little further away, we can organize a phone call. Either way, I feel it’s extremely important to get to know each other. I put no limits on the amount of pre-wedding discussions we have.
